Lauri Ikonen, Head of Technology at Polarnode, appointed to the board of FDCA

FDCA is an independent, nonprofit association dedicated to the Finnish data center industry. FDCA provides the ecosystem for cloud & data center businesses in Finland. It was founded in 2014 and today FCDA has close to 200 member companies. FDCA is the leading DC industry association in Finland.

“Having worked in and actively contributed to this industry in Finland for a couple of decades, it’s great to now help shape its next phase. The Finnish data center industry is scaling up fast, and we’re still only scratching the surface of what’s possible. There’s real potential here to support Finland’s broader growth story, and I want to do my part in helping unlock that potential.” says Lauri Ikonen, Head of Technology at Polarnode.

While serving on the board of FDCA, Lauri will participate in developing the associations operations.

Polarnode is a fully Finnish-owned developer, builder, and operator of data centers. The company aims to establish Finland as a competitive and sustainable hub for data center business in Europe and to ensure that the value created by the industry remains firmly within the domestic ecosystem. Polarnode is developing data center projects in Pori, Lappeenranta, Kuopio, and Nokia.
